Not even 24 hours after last week’s press conference about a new stadium in the Netherlands, ground preparations started in Park 21 territory south of Hoofddorp, despite of two weeks lasting frost and snow age at 10 km from North Sea coast.
The field will be protected by drainage for outflowing water with a maximum distance of two meters between two parallel drains. With this close density the new baseball field in Hoofddorp will be ranked among the best protected sport facilities in Europe. The new baseball and softball complex for Hoofddorp Pioniers is intended to be ready for KNBSB national and regional games by the 1st of March 2014.
