breland_brown.jpgThe Solingen Alligators signed outfielder Breland BROWN for the 2008 season. He played at the Northeast Mississippi Community College. He had a batting average of .385 during the last two seasons. He stole 41 bases (90 percent success rate). He is also capable of playing the infield. Until his arrival Europe in mid-March he is working out in Atlanta, Georgia with former Major Leaguer Otis NIXON.

New manager Craig SPILKER already arrived in Germany and took over practice with the 2006 champion. The Alligators will play their first pre-season game on March 1st against the newly promoted team Dortmund Wanderers. It is expected that the club will sign another American in the upcoming weeks.
