Posted on October 9, 2009October 9, 2009 by philipp

AVG DRACI BRNO will face ARROWS OSTRAVA in the Czech Finals, trying to win their 15th straight championship. The best-of-five series starts this weekend with the opener on Saturday in Brno. Games two and three will follow one week later. Czech TV CT4 Sport will be on hand for the three games and will report live from the second. It is also the rematch of last year’s campaign, when AVG DRACI defeated OSTRAVA 3-1.

DRACI won all four games of the season series (11-0, 5-0, 9-1, 13-7) against the ARROWS and are highly favored going into the finals. BRNO swept SKOKANI OLOMOUC in the semi-finals, while OSTRAVA needed to go the distance of five games against TECHNIKA BRNO to reach the championship series. Petr Minarik and Martin Schneider are expected to pitch for AVG DRACI and will face Jon Jon Robles and Boris Bokaj on the mound for the ARROWS.
