Taiwan again has prevailed in extra innings, using a wild pitch by Hector Navarro in the tenth to win 1-0 against Mexico in the tenth. Pinch runner Chia-Hao Chang profited from the miscue to cross the plate. Navarro just was put in and threw only three pitches. He had replaced Arturo Lopez, who took the loss. Oscar Rivera (MEX) struck out eleven batters in 6 1/3 strong innings, allowing just four hits and a walk. Yen-Feng Lin (TPE) gave up only three hits and three bb in nine scoreless innings. Yu-Ching Lin (W 2-0) picked up the victory. Taiwan improved to 4-1 with their third extra inning win in the second round. Mexico is 2-3.
