Cardinals, Indians battle for 2nd in Swiss NLA

Cardinals host Indians Sunday in single game Sunday at the Allmend
The Bern Cardinals (21-6) and Lausanne Indians (19-6) meet to decide who will hold home field advantage in the first round of the playoffs. The Indians, after the game on Sunday, still have a double header with the Zurich Challengers the following week. A win against the Cards and a sweep of the Challengers puts the Indians in second place. The Cardinals have defeated the Indians in all three games this season, and will be pushing hard for the season sweep. Home field advantage is something Bern would love to have, and will fight to finish ahead of the Indians.

‘Bows try to keep postseason hopes alive when they play visitor to the Challengers
The magic number for the Zurich Challengers (14-10) sits at one game. The final postseason spot could very well be decided this weekend as the Embrach ‘Bows (10-14) are in a must win situation. One more loss for Embrach results in the Challengers securing a trip back to the playoffs after a one year hiatus. It is a tall test for the ‘Bows, but surely they will fight until the end to find a way to the playoffs.

Frogs and Barracudas play out rest of the season
The Sissach Frogs (4-20) take on the Zurich Barracudas (9-15) Saturday in a game that has no implications. The ‘Cudas, who will miss the playoffs for the first time in seven years, are trying to finish a disappointing season on a high note. With a good young nucleolus, it is for sure they will find their way back to top tier of teams soon. The Frogs will look to play well to be ready for the relegation round.
