Korea begins World Cup of Baseball with shutout against Canada

The South Korean pitching staff made a standpoint on Wednesday at the beginning of the World Cup of Baseball in Taipei. They allowed just two hits in a 5-0 victory against Canada.

Korea got on track in the second inning, when they brought three runs on the scoreboard. Two insurance runs later in the game sealed the win.

Chang WON-JUN (W 1-0) dominated and received the win.

James AVERY (L 0-1) allowed seven hits, four runs and two walks in six innings. He struck out one.
