DOOR Neptunus to battle with Corendon Kinheim in Hoofdklasse

Posted on June 25, 2009 by philipp

After finishing third in the European Champions Cup in Barcelona, CORENDON KINHEIM will take on Hoofdklasse leader DOOR NEPTUNUS in a three-game series in the Netherlands this weekend. NEPTUNUS didn’t allow a run in their sweep against ADO last week and hopes to solidify first place further against the third-ranked team from Haarlem. The second Dutch European Champions Cup participant was L&D AMSTERDAM, which was beaten by KINHEIM in the bronze medal game. Last year’s champion takes on the team in fourth place, the KONICA MINOLTA PIONIERS.

SPARTA/FEYENOORD, which is in fifth place, hopes for a few losses by the PIONIERS, so they can use their series against MR COCKER HCAW to move up a spot in the standings. In the cellar ADO tries to end a losing streak of 17 games against the MEDIA MONKS RCH, which have won three of the last six games (one tie). After the upcoming three-game series the Hoofdklasse takes a break of about three weeks for the World Port Tournament in Rotterdam and returns on July 16
