Results Spanish Division de Honor June 20&21

Posted on June 21, 2009 by philipp

Barcelona, Spain was truly the center of European Baseball this weekend. Not only saw the people in attendance at the European Champions Cup Final Four in Montjuic four thrilling games between the four best teams in Europe, but a few kilometers west in Viladecans, the two top teams in Spain clashed on Saturday.

“Home” team FC BARCELONA ended the winning streak of the TENERIFE MARLINS after 24 games and swept the doubleheader to get back into the race for the championship. BARCA won 7-4 and 4-2 and reduced the deficit in the standings to two games. If now the Spanish federation rules in favor of the FCB in their appeal case of the not-played games in Tenerife (see story here), things should get interesting over the last couple of weeks and we would get to see another MARLINS-BARCELONA battle.

More on all the games later this week
