Posted on June 20, 2009 by philipp

The European Cup Qualifier ended on Saturday with the best-of-three final series (game one is result from preliminary round) at the four locations throughout Europe. The winners will play in one or two tournaments later this summer against the TEMPLIERS SENART and the TENERIFE MARLINS for two spots in next year’s European Cups.

Ostrava, Czech Republic

In the morning Jon Jon Robles struck out 16 batters in a 1-0 shutout of ARROWS OSTRAVA against BREST ZUBRS to lead the Czech host of the Qualifier into the finals later the day against MGPU. But the ARROWS didn’t capture the win at the Qualifier. MGPU celebrated a 6-3 victory in the afternoon to win the best-of-three series 2-0 after winning the preliminary round match 5-4 on Monday. Samchuk and Vorotilin each scored twice. Kobrinets drove in two. Nikol Chermoshentsev picked up the win with a complete game.
