Czech Baseball Finals and Relegations have started

Posted on October 16, 2007 by MrBB

The Czech Baseball Extraleague finals between twelve time consecutive winner AVG Draci Brno and MZLU Express Brno started on Sunday.
Some years ago, MZLU was a farm team of Draci Brno, and now both teams are in the Czech finals. This situation is a good indications of the
quality of the Draci Brno system.

Sunday’s game was again broadcasted by national sport TV channel CT4 and was a very well played defensive baseball game. Draci started with PROCHASZKA on the mount and MZLU sent Kubat to the hill. Express got the better start into the game and after a hit by Ovesny and double by Holovko they jumped ahead 1-0. In the 7th MADEIJ scored another run for the Express and made it 2-0. Until the 9th inning the Express pitcher KUBAT controlled the Draci offense. He was replaced by FABIAN who was supposed to close the game on Draci. But he loaded the bases with no outs and was replaced by VYSTRCIL. Draci was rolling and could not be stopped anymore. The recorded 2 more hits in the 9th, turned the game around and won 3-2. The series will continue next weekend with games on Saturday and Sunday played in municipal stadium. The games will again be telecated on TV.

Results:
AVG Draci Brno vs. MZLU Express Brno 1-0 (3-2)
