Posted on October 16, 2007October 16, 2007 by philipp

The Cuban team played two games on Sunday. They celebrated a 21-0 shutout against Columbia in the first match, getting 19 hits, including five homeruns. Maybe they enjoyed this one too much, but the second part of the doubleheader was not so easy. Venezuela beat Cuba 7-3 and both are now tied with three wins apiece at the top of the tournament standings.
Venezuela will play two on Monday, going first against Columbia and in the afternoon against Cuba. The both top-teams will conclude the first Latin American and Caribbean League, or as now known as league of baseball of the Bolivariana Alternatives for Americas, on Wednesday with a final and decisive game.
After that, Cuba will travel to Sicily to continue their preparation for the World Cup with tests against Italy and Chinese Taipei.

All results:
