For the fourth time this season L&D AMSTERDAM and CORENDON KINHEIM will meet in the Dutch Hoofdklasse. It is another rematch of last year’s Holland Series, where the PIRATES captured the title in Netherlands Baseball with a stunning three-game sweep. At the start of the 2009 season they continue to have the number of the champion of 2007 and 2008, as they won the first three games of the season series. The match on Thursday evening is a rescheduled game of June 20th, as both teams will make the trip to the Final Four European Champions Cup in Barcelona, Spain. AMSTERDAM is at the top of the Hoofdklasse standings with a 16-4 record. KINHEIM struggled a little bit in the beginning, but has moved into fifth place with a 12-8 record since.
