Division de Honor Softball Results April 19

After a week off due to Easter the Spanish Division de Honor Softball continued last Sunday with three doubleheaders.

Krafft San Sebastian – Dridma Rivas 9-2, 6-9
It was the first win each  for SAN SEBASTIAN and DRIDMA in 2009. Both are ranked seventh and eighth in the standings with identical 1-7 records.

Hercules Hospitalet – CBS Antorcha 0-5, 2-4
Rosa Maria Blanes (W 3-0) pitched seven scoreless innings in game one to lead ANTORCHA to a 5-0 shutout against HOSPITALET. She allowed just three hits and three walks, striking out one. Elisa Aguilar drove in three of the five runs. In the second match CBS overcame a 1-2-deficit through three runs in the fifth and sixth frame. Carmen Vico had the big hit with a two-run double to right field, putting ANTORCHA up 3-2.

Kirolgi OBB – CS Viladecans 12-10, 6-4
KIROLGI defeated VILADECANS twice to pass the Catalonia club and to move into the second place in the standings with a 7-1 record. They’ll face leader ANTORCHA next Sunday. In game one OBB used a five-run sixth to win 12-10. Olatz Zubia, Ainara Larraza and Igone Etxeberria drove in two runs apiece. In the second match they took a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the third thanks to three runs en route to a 6-4 win. Ane Barandiaran went two-for-two with a homerun, a double and three RBI.
