Today is Jackie Robinson Day in Baseball and Major League Baseball will celebrate the 62nd anniversary of his big league debut in all 15 ballparks. On April 15, 1947 Jackie Robinson played his first game in the Majors, breaking the color barrier in the MLB. Today all players will honor the Dodgers infielder by wearing his legendary number 42. Additionally the so-called Jackie Robinson Rotunda at the new Mets ballpark ‘Citi Field’ in New York will be dedicated officially. The clip shows some highlights from Robinson’s career.
