U23 Baseball Euros 2026 Spain Qualifier: Day 4

Posted on August 7, 2026 by Gabriel Fidler

Marc Rodríguez homered and José Piméntel tossed a three-hit shut-out as Spain advanced to the final of the Under-23 European Baseball Championship B-Pool at home. Earlier in the day, MVP favourite Nadav Machlin smashed his four home run in as many games and Aviad Schechter went 2-for-2 with a double, two walks, four runs, and three ribbies to help Israel answer a 2-0 Switzerland lead and advance to the title bout.

In the morning game at Camp Municipal de Beisbol i Sofbol de València, Spain, Greece came-from-behind three times against Croatia to win a placement game. Akili Carris homered, Nicholas Kreatsoulas doubled twice, and Tommy Stathopoulos finished with three shutout innings, whiffing four for the Greek baseball squad. Šime Vrbanović had two hits for Croatia.
