U23 Baseball Euros 2026 Germany Qualifier: Day 2

Germany clinched a spot in the semifinals of the Under-23 European Baseball Championship B-Pool in Paderborn, Germany, while Sweden also moved to 2-0 and Ukraine won its first game.

Elias Huber and Moritz Jödicke both homered for Deutschland Baseball, while Lasse Nixdorf fired three shutout innings for the win. Olle Jerfsten struck out five in four innings, permitted one run on just three hits and no walks for Sweden, and Jakob Lindkvist continued his scorching start to the U23 Baseball Euros Qualifier. Axl Roef doubled for the second day in a row for Belgium in a tight game. Finally, Ukraine scored in every inning after the first, with Mykyta Burmistrov, Bohdan Lucheiko, Yevhenii Dmytriiev, and Matviy Stieklov all notching two hits. Yevhenii Rozhko struck out eight in five two-hit innings. Ford Schröder ripped another double for Denmark in the loss.
