Czechia’s Daniel Padysak allowed two runs on five hits as the Savannah Bananas cruised to a 10-2 victory (box score) over the Lexington County Blowfish in Coastal Plain League action on Tuesday.
It was Padysak’s third appearance in the wood-bat collegiate league for the Bananas after wrapping up his sophomore season at Charleston Southern University, where he appeared in 20 games, tossing 41 innings with a 5.93 ERA.
He has enjoyed more success in Savannah, however, with a 1.54 ERA in his first 11.2 innings of work. In his second appearance of the season, against the Florence Flamingos, he allowed just one hit while striking out five batters in four innings. All told, the tall right-hander has struck out 11 batters while walking just one.
