French Division I Baseball: Week 6

Posted on May 17, 2022June 15, 2022 by Gabriel Fidler

The top-heavy nature of the two divisions of French baseball resulted in three sweeps, with first-place Rouen scoring 34 runs in two games at home and Savigny-sur-Orge dispatching the Metz Cometz in a pair of close games at the Lions’ ballpark. As with last week, however, it was Sénart’s series that provided the drama, with Montpellier claiming the Game 1 victory at Templar Stadium and the Templiers striking back for a split to draw the clubs even at the top of Pool B. Elsewhere, Stade Toulousain squeaked by Nice Cavigal in a pair of pitchers’ duels.
