MLB Europe to Visit Bavaria’s Füssen Royal Bavarians

Posted on May 11, 2022May 17, 2022 by MrBB

The Füssen Royal Bavarians will be hosting an MLB Europe film crew in mid-May, one stop in an MLB Europe documentary series covering European baseball this summer.

The southern Bavarian city, nestled at the foot of the Alps, is most famous for the beautiful views of the mountains and King Ludwig II’s Neuschwanstein Castle, the inspiration for Disney’s Magic Kingdom.

The Royal Bavarians were recently promoted to the second division and have been investing heavily in their youth set-up. The club also recently completed construction of a new field.

Filming will occur from May 20-May 23, with a special line-up of events and traditional Bavarian cuisine on offer during the club’s doubleheader against the Augsburg Gators on Sunday, May 22. Fans wearing traditional Bavarian attire will enjoy half-price beer.
