Happy Holidays!

Posted on December 25, 2021May 18, 2022 by MrBB

Dear Readers,

The site’s first year under new leadership is winding down, and what a year it has been. Managing Editor Gabriel Fidler and I managed to publish 227 articles on the sport we all love, with countless more posts on Facebook.

We closely tracked the developments in the German Bundesliga; were in awe at what Sokol Hluboka managed to do in the Czech Republic; introduced readers to Victor Shestopalov’s coverage of Russian baseball; kept tabs on the European club and national team tournaments in the busy summer months; watched from afar as Vojtech Mensik, Marek Chlup, Drew Janssen, and numerous other Europeans excelled in the Minors; and so much more.

The year’s work unfortunately just scratches the surface on the year that was in European baseball. So much more could have been written. So many more players, coaches, and clubs deserved our attention.

Fortunately, Gabriel and I will be back in 2022, one year wiser and ever committed to bringing you stories about European baseball.

Until then, we wish you all the happiest of holidays!

Your sincerely,

Francisco Barreto
