The Czech national team was recently in Spain as it began its preparations for this September’s 2021 European championships. The Czechs matched up against the perennial Spanish contenders Tenerife Marlins, with the two teams playing a three-game series. The Czechs notched two wins and a tie.
Across the Atlantic, Marek Chlup is off to a hot start with the North Greenville Crusaders (NCAA Division 2), and in fact recently hit three home runs against Chowan University, while Dutchman Dave Janssen was named a top performer in his junior college conference.
Back to Europe, as we reported in our January Bundesliga Round-Up, Kaleb Bowman has signed with Guggenberger Legionäre Regensburg, which caught the attention of the student newspaper at his alma mater, Appalachian State University, and Blesk Jablonec of the Czech Extraliga have signed Philippines national team pitcher Paulo Macasaet.
