Spanish Softball Season under way

The 2009 Softball season in the Spanish Division de Honor is already two weeks old, through only one game day was played on March 14/15. Last weekend was off due to an international Softball tournament in Caserta, Italy, which was won by the Czech National Team.

Just six teams participate in the Spanish Softball League this year. CBS ANTORCHA won the title in 2008 thanks to a 3-0 sweep in the finals over HERCULES L’HOPITALET. The team from Valencia also started successful into the new season, taking two victories from DRIDMA RIVAS. HOSPITALET lost both games against CS VILADECANS. KIROLGI was the third two-game winner on opening day. The championship continues next weekend.
