Spain edged out Italy 4-3 on Saturday evening in Parma at the Europe/Africa Olympic Baseball Qualifier 2019. Spain took a quick 3-0 lead and defended a one-run advantage at the end. Following the last out a brawl between the two teams occurred after players exchanged a few words.

Oscar Angulo had three hits, a run and a RBI for Spain. Chris Colabello went deep one day after having to leave the game against Israel following a pitch to his face. Daniel Alvarez received the win in relief of Antonio Noguera. Murilo Brolo Gouvea got charged with the loss.
