Spain rebounded from their 0-3 loss to Israel with a 7-1 win against South Africa at the Europe/Africa Olympic Baseball Qualifier 2019 in Bologna on Thursday afternoon. Five runs in the fourth decided the outcome early. Blake Ochoa highlighted the rally with a grand slam. Lesther Galvan also went deep for Spain. Ricardo Hernandez issued just one unearned run on five hits and two walks in eight strong innings for the win. Jared Elario got charged with the loss. Brandon Bouillon scored the lone run for South Africa.
