Italy has won the U12 European Championship 2019 for a third consecutive year. They defeated the Netherlands in a dramatic final on Saturday evening in Trebic, Czech Republic by a score of 7-5. The game was delayed for a lengthy time in the bottom of the sixth due to an injury by a Dutch player, who needed to be brought to the hospital.
Germany picked up the bronze medal thanks to a 7-3 win over rival Czech Republic. France finished in fifth place in the final standings ahead of Russia, Belgium and Hungary. Hungary needs to go to the Qualifier next year after finishing eighth.
