Posted on June 16, 2019June 16, 2019 by philipp

The Dornbirn Indians have won the 2019 Federations Cup in Karlovac, Croatia. They defeated their Baseball League Austria rival Vienna Metrostars 19-1 in a one-sided final on Saturday. Vienna actually took a 1-0 lead after the first inning, but Dornbirn answered with 11 runs in the second. They continued to score afterwards and ended the contest after five frames due to the 15-run rule. Michael Salzmann, Riley MacDonald and Paul Astl hit home runs for the Indians. Astl finished with five RBI, Salzmann with four. Tyler Thompson pitched five strong innings for the win.
