The French Baseball and Softball Federation (FFBS) met with current San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy and third base coach Ron Wotus about managing and coaching France during the next World Baseball Classic. Without any announcements being made just yet, 2020 would be the year for Qualifiers ahead of the fifth edition of the World Baseball Classic in 2021. Bochy was born in France. He retire as manager of the Giants at the end of the 2019 season.
