L&D Amsterdam has added Dutch infielder Sharlon Schoop to the roster for the 2019 season. The 31-year-old is coming from the Baltimore Orioles, where he played in the minor leagues since 2014. He began his minor league career with the San Francisco Giants and also played one season in the Kansas City Royals organization. In 2011 he won the Baseball World Cup with the Netherlands in Panama. His brother Jonathan Schoop is currently playing in the big leagues for the Minnesota Twins.
