The Dutch Hoofdklasse had a rare Thursday-Friday game day due to Kings Day in the Netherlands. On Friday Lars Huijer pitched seven no-hit innings to lead his Hoofddorp Pioniers to a 12-0 shutout against the Silicon Storks. He allowed just three walks. It’s the second no-hitter of the season after Misja Harcksen had a perfect game for Curacao Neptunus a couple of days ago. The Pioniers had lost the series opener on Thursday 3-4.
HCAW and Quick Amersfoort also have split the first two games of the weekend series. Curacao Neptunus and L&D Amsterdam picked up two wins apiece against DSS respective the Twins Oosterhout.
