Results German Baseball-Bundesliga April 20 to 22, 2019

In the German Baseball-Bundesliga week four was played this past weekend. In the north the Bonn Capitals and Untouchables Paderborn split a doubleheader and remain tied for first in the standings. In game one Paderborn tied the game in the ninth and then won it on a home run by Bjoern Schonlau in the 10th. Bonn then beat the Untouchables 10-0 in seven innings in game two. Bonn and Paderborn however are now joined in first by the Hamburg Stealers, who dominated the Bremen Dockers in both ends of a twin bill. The Cologne Cardinals also picked up two wins this past weekend. The Dohren Wild Farmers and Solingen Alligators shared wins.

In the south the Stuttgart Reds stunned the Munich-Haar Disciples with a pair of hard-fought victories. In game one Andrija Tomic (go-ahead hit) and Antonio Horvatic (brilliant in relief) led the Reds to the win, in game two Dustin Ward out-pitched Louis Cohen. The Mainz Athletics remain undefeated in first place after two wins against the IT sure Falcons Ulm. The Buchbinder Legionäre Regensburg won twice over the Saarlouis Hornets. The Heidenheim Heideköpfe and the Mannheim Tornados split a two-game series. Mannheim will meet Mainz this coming weekend.
