In the Baseball League Austria the season got kicked off with a single game between the Traiskirchen Grasshoppers and the Vienna Wanderers. Traiskirchen scored 11 runs in the third to lead 12-0, but the Wanderers started a comeback rally and came within a run in the ninth inning before eventually losing 14-15.
