Austria releases Program of Senior & U23 National Teams for 2019 Season

Posted on January 24, 2019January 24, 2019 by philipp

The Austrian Baseball Federation (ABF) released its program for the 2019 season for its senior and U23 national teams. The senior national team will be doing a training camp with an extended roster from July 8 to 13. In the second half of August a series of evening exhibition games with the final roster is planned. From September 2 to 6 they will hold their final training camp ahead of the European Championship in Bonn and Solingen, Germany. Austria is participating in the Euros for the first time since 2007.

The U23 national team of Austria hasn’t any big tournaments planned for 2019. Therefore they will work with U22 players in preparation for the U23 European Championship Qualifier in 2020. After a mini training camp on April 30 they will play the Danube Cup in Budapest on May 1. From June 7 to 10 Austria’s U22 will participate in the 2019 edition of Finkstonball in Attnang-Puchheim, Austria.
