The German Baseball-Bundesliga club Nicholas DiBenedetto is joining the Hamburg Stealers for the 2019 season. The middle infielder, who has played all nine positions during his career, is US American citizen, but also has an Italian passport. The 24-year-old is hoping to earn a spot on the Italian national team with a good season in Germany. So far he has played for the Baltimore Orioles organization and various independent league teams in the United States. After head coach David Wohlgemuth and starting pitcher Darren Lauer he is already the third new acquisition for the Stealers this offseason.
