The Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg and the Solingen Alligators have joined the Bonn Capitals and Heidenheim Heidekoepfe in the semifinals of the German Baseball-Bundesliga. Regensburg defeated the Mainz Athletics 5-4 and 2-1 in two close games to clinch second place in the south over Mainz. Solingen beat the Dohren Wild Farmers 3-0 and 13-3 to prevail over the Untouchables Paderborn in the standings. Bonn and Heidenheim already were set for the semifinals, which start this coming weekend in Regensburg and Heidenheim. The Capitals continued their perfect season on the last day of the playoff round robin, improving to 40-0 for the year.
