Day three at the Federations Cup Qualifier 2018 in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria started with rain and the postponement of the Barons Worclaw vs. Beograd 96 game from Thursday to Sunday morning. The London Mets then no-hit Atletico Alexandria 11-0 in seven innings. Richard Minford struck out nine in seven innings, allowing just two walks. He also hit a home run and scored four runs in the game.
In the evening game the Vienna Wanderers edged out the Blagoevgrad Buffaloes 8-7 in ten innings. A sac fly by Drake Zarate in combination with a throwing error led to the decisive two runs by Vienna in the top of the first extra inning. Blagoevgrad scored once in the bottom half but wasn’t able to tie the game. Both teams had scored six runs in the first six innings.
