By CBS Sant Boi
Very happy and satisfied we finished on Sunday October 29 after the final of the International Baseball Tournament U12 CBS Sant Boi. In memory of Pedro García & 4 Estrellas 2017
We were not wrong before starting the tournament, when we said that possibly this edition would be one of the best at a sporting level, since it was. The 10 participating teams showed a great level of play and made all the spectators enjoy great plays and games.
The final was played by the teams of CB Barcelona and the Czech Republic Academy, the only two teams that reached the final without knowing the defeat. The Catalans sentenced the Czechs with great hits and good defensive work.
One more edition, the organization of the Tournament gave a great amount of trophies and awards, 27 MVP games of each game, 8 awards to the winners of the skill tests, 7 individual awards and 10 trophies to all the participating teams.
At the opening ceremony we had the presence of the Mayor of Sant Boi, LLuisa Moret, Mª Antonia Barragán as Councilor for Sports.
Mª Antonia Barragán was in charge of making the inaugural throw of the tournament. Previously, a player from each team read in English and Spanish a code of good ethics of behavior to all those attending the stadium.
A total of 27 matches played between 10 teams of 5 different nationalities, Spain, Czech Republic, Italy, Holland and France.
We want to thank the fair play of all the attending teams, where they demonstrated that they are still working with the development of base baseball. We thank once again, the Catalan school of scorekeepers who helped the difficult task of scoring and statistics of the tournament.
