Arrows Ostrava has avoided the sweep in the Czech Series, winning 6-5 in game three on Monday evening against defending champion Draci Brno. Brno had won the first two games on Friday and Sunday to take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five championship series in the Czech Extraleague.

Similar to game one and two, a walk-off hit was needed to decide the outcome. Arrows Ostrava scored the winning run in the bottom of the ninth. Draci had scored single runs in the seventh, eighth and ninth to erase a 2-5 deficit. Arrows was leading since a three-run rally in the fifth.

Jakub Kaplan doubled, scored twice and drove in two for Ostrava. Petr Cech had two RBI for Draci. Pavel Budsky hit a home run for Brno. Marko Vykoukal picked up the win in relief. Martin Schneider got charged with the loss.

Game four will be played on Friday, September 29. Playo.tv is going to broadcast the game live and for free, starting at 6.50pm CET.
