The Linz Witches have won the Austrian Softball League for the first time in club history. Led by Final Four MVP Martina Lackner they defeated the Dornbirn Sharx 4-3 in the final on Saturday. Linz had reached the final with a 5-1 win over Dornbirn on Friday evening in the semifinals. The Sharx then prevailed 7-1 over the Vienna Wanderers to advance to the finals as well. The Vienna M-Stars took fourth after a 6-13 loss to the Wanderers earlier on Friday.
