The two hosting teams have reached the CEB Cup finals in Brno and Prague. The Eagles Prague downed BC Minsk 19-0 in the first semifinal and Draci Brno prevailed 6-1 over the Templiers Senart. With both Czech teams reaching the final, the Czech Republic will return to the European Champions Cup in 2018.
