The 2017 season in Major League Baseball is getting underway this Sunday. Three games are on the schedule on Opening Day. The Tampa Bay Rays are hosting the New York Yankees at 7pm CET, the Arizona Diamondbacks take on the San Francisco Giants at 10.15pm CET and defending World Series champion Chicago Cubs starts its campaign on the road against the St. Louis Cardinals at 2am CET.
European Baseball will have a couple of players in the big leagues this year. Germany’s Max Kepler of the Minnesota Twins looks to confirm his breakout season last summer. Dutch infielders Andrelton Simmons (Los Angeles Angels), Xander Bogaerts (Boston Red Sox) and Didi Gregorius (New York Yankees) are supposed to play key roles with their clubs as well. Gregorius needs to wait until May though after getting injured near the end of the 2017 World Baseball Classic. Additionally, Lithuania’s Dovydas Neverauskas of the Pittsburgh Pirates is on the verge of breaking into the Major Leagues after he got added to the 40-man roster this past offseason.
As usual MLB.tv should offer the best opportunity to watch MLB games in Europe. However not only in Germany MLB is finding TV stations, but all around Europe MLB games will be picked up by mainly Pay TV/Cable stations. Check your local listings for information.
