Players honored by Austrian Baseball League

The Austrian Baseball League (ABL) recently announced the winners of this year’s Gold Gloves along with the top hitting and pitching awards.

Brett CUMISKEY of the Stock City Cubs hit .500 to win the 2007 ABL batting title. Superfund Wanderers Hiro SAKANASHI (.494) and Vienna Metrostars shortstop Lutz RAUCH (.481) finished a close second and third.

The Metrostar’s Tim PATRICK won Best Pitcher honors with a sparkling 1.17 ERA. Lance BEUS (1.61) of the Dornbirn Indians and Werner HARASSER (1.67) of the Union Kufstein Vikings also had fine seasons on the pitching mound.

The Gold Glove winners includes:
