The promoted Saarlouis Hornets of the German Baseball-Bundesliga have signed 37-year-old Dominican right-hander Willie Lebron. The veteran hurler is a former minor leaguer with the Chicago Cubs, Texas Rangers, Cincinnati Reds and Kansas City Royals. With the Royals he reached Triple-A in 2011. In the past few years he split time between the Dominican Winter League and the Mexican League. During his pro career he has an ERA of 4.30 through all levels. Saarlouis already had added 23-year-old Venezuelan catcher Carlos Figueredo and brought back Ryan Schurman and Mike Acousta.
