The Spanish Baseball National Team has played 5 games vs the US University of UCLA withing the last couple of days. Although they have lost the series by 2 games to 3 they looked strong and ready to compete against the best European National Teams in Barcelona.
The last game before the tournament starts will be today against the Netherlands.The official Championship website talks about an “advance final” between the Netherlands and Spain. Let’s see if the Spanish a really strong enough to make it to the Barcelona final. Teams like Italy, France, Germany and Russia will definitely be hard tasks on the way to the final.
==> By the way…..there will not be a real final. The top 3 teams of each group will advance to the final round in which they will only play against the teams from the other group (3 more games). The results of all first round games between teams from the same group still count in the final round. The new European Champion will be the team with the best record in the final round (total of 5 games).
