Major League Baseball’s superstars Bryce Harper (Washington Nationals) and Mike Trout (Los Angeles Angels) are currently not on the list of Team USA for the 2017 World Baseball Classic. According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post USA Baseball has submitted a 50-man roster last month and agent Scott Boras already confirmed that his client Harper won’t play. Rosters won’t be finalized until January.

Meanwhile plenty of top stars are indeed on the team including newly crowned World Series winners Kris Bryant and Jake Arrieta, Dellin Betances, Noah Syndergaard, Justin Verlander, Buster Posey, Corey Kluber, Max Scherzer, David Price and Andrew Miller among others. Manager is going to be Jim Leyland, while Joe Torre serves as GM to build the team.

Team USA faces reigning WBC champion Dominican Republic, Canada and Colombia during first-round play in Miami, Florida.
