Posted on October 13, 2016October 13, 2016 by philipp

Following the conclusion of the German final series between the Mainz Athletics and Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg a number of key players from both teams have announced their retirement from their active career.

Mike Larson and Manuel Moeller, who both just won their second title in the Baseball-Bundesliga with the Mainz Athletics after 2007, will step away from the field. Larson is going to focus on his family live and the completion of his master. Moeller meanwhile will remain with Mainz as assistant coach.

Also from the Buchbinder Legionaere crucial players will hang up their cleats. German national team players Ludwig Glaser and Christopher Howard, as well as first baseman Chris Zirzlmeier will end their playing career. Glaser and Zirzlmeier will focus on their professional career off the field. Howard will remain in baseball as a coach.
