em-logo-2016Spain bounced back from the 0-1 loss to the Netherlands with a 9-3 victory over the Czech Republic on Friday afternoon. They pounded out 17 hits and scored nearly at will against the Czech team. Four runs in the fourth gave them a 5-0 lead en route to the win in the Winners Round Robin at the European Championship in Hoofddorp. They are now 3-1, while the Czech dropped to 1-3.

Blake Ochoa hit his second home run in the tournament. Daniel Martinez drove in three. Luis Guillorme went 3-for-5 with a RBI and three runs scored. Petr Cech, Jakub Vojak and Jakub Hajtmar scored the three runs for the Czech Republic in the seventh.

On the mound Lowuin Sacramento conceded five hits, three runs and two walks in 6 1/3 innings for his second win in the European Championship. Boris Bokaj took the loss, giving up six runs on ten hits and a base on balls in five innings.
