Spain announces Roster for Italian Baseball Week

The Royal Spanish Baseball and Softball Federation (RFEBS) has announced the roster for the Italian Baseball Week. The Spanish national team is going to face Italy and the Czech Republic in the Euros 2016 preparation tournament in Tuscany next week. Manager Paco Figueroa, who will make his debut at the helm of the Spanish national team during that tournament, has nominated 23 players for the IBW.

The majority of the players on the team are playing in the Spanish Division de Honor including Lowuin Sacramento, Ivan Granados, Blake Ochoa and Oscar Angulo from reigning champion Astros Valencia. Additionally the German Baseball-Bundesliga is represented with Eduardo Miliani and Daniel Sanchez. Jose Estebin Cruz, Ricardo Hernandez and Leo Rodriguez are playing in Italy, Rhiner Cruz in Mexico. Additionally former New York Mets standout outfield prospect Fernando Martinez is on the team as well.
