Anthony Taylor Collection grows to 48 British baseball programmes, including 15 featuring West Ham Baseball Club

Posted on August 4, 2016August 4, 2016 by philipp

Press Release Project COBB

Three new programmes from 1936 featuring West Ham Baseball Club have been digitised by Anthony Taylor and added to his online collection on the Project COBB website. This takes the number of programmes for games featuring West Ham to 15, and the total number of British baseball programmes to within two of the half-century mark.

The earliest programme in the collection is from October 1917 and the most recent from August 1953, with the bulk being from 1936 to 1939, the “Golden Years” for the sport on British soil. The Anthony Taylor Collection also includes seven issues of the Hull Baseball Gazette, published between May 1952 and April 1953.

All of the materials digitized by Anthony Taylor for Project COBB can be found at: http://www.projectcobb.org.uk/materials.html#atc
