Major League Baseball announced the rosters and starting lineups for this year’s All-Star Game in San Diego, California. Two players with Dutch national team ties have made the selections. Shortstop Xander Bogaerts of the Boston Red Sox will start for the American League. Los Angeles Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen was named to the bullpen of the National League. Bogaerts is the first player from Aruba to be selected for the All-Star Game. Jansen is the third from Curacao after Andruw Jones and Jair Jurrjens. Bert Blyleven from the Netherlands was selected in 1973 and 1985 for the All-Star Game.
