The Prague Baseball Week continued with day four on Friday. The International Stars won the morning game, downing the Czech U23 Team 11-1. Five runs in the seventh blew the game open and ended it due to ten-run rule. Warren Stehn led all batters with three hits, two runs and three RBI. Justin Erasmus struck out nine in six innings, allowing one run on two hits and a walk.
In the afternoon game the Czech National Team beat the Drop Bears from the US 7-4. After the Bears had tied the game in the top half of the fifth, the Czech answered with three runs to regain the lead for good. Jakub Vojak capped the rally with a solo home run. Marek Minarik pitched five innings, allowing four hits and two runs.
In the evening game the two winners of the day met, as the Czech Republic took revenge for Thursday’s 4-7 loss and beat the International Stars 16-5. They scored 13 of their 16 runs in the first five frames. Jakub Vojak had four more hits and three RBI. Jakub Sladek, Petr Sila and Matej Hejma drove in two apiece. Taylor Ratliff had two RBI for the Stars.
